A punctual Friday Flaunt?

Yes, I know..... it's not usual for me to actually be able to show anything on the actual day, but this week - I've managed it!

The curve master arrived, and really IS worth the money - I managed to sew over 30 blocks in a fraction of the time I had expected, due mainly to the fact that you did not need to pin the blocks for them to turn out well.
We laid out most of Steven's quilt blocks in a variety of ways, as shown below. I still need to sew about another 15, which I'm hoping ot do this weekend, as I need some sanity time.
Which one do you prefer??

Layout 1

Layout 2

Layout 3

Your blocks are a great testimony for the Curve Master. They look fabulous! Definitely layout two for me. One is too plain, and three seems off-balanced. Well, I'm a symmetrical person (What does that say about me!?) and looking at it would make me want to change it in some way. But any way you look at it, you've had a happily flauntable week. Way to go!

Has to be layout 3 for me, love the way the blue snakes around like a river.

Hi Al, layout 3 gets my vote - less "predictable" than the other layouts, plus the meandering nature of the blue curves, makes one's eye wander all over the quilt, which is really what one would want, I would think ... the meandering curve invites the eye "in" to the quilt.

I'm loving the interest in #3 isn't it amazing the difference you get swapping the blocks around!

I really like layout 3. The others are lovely as well , but this one offers more interest to the eye.

I love layout 3 with meandering squiggles, it is so much more interesting. Might have to invest in a curve master foot.

Definitely 3.

All of the layouts work, but given that these seem to be aboriginal prints, number three seems to carry the theme best. Number three looks like billablongs and creeks flowing through the outback landscape.

Layout 1 is my preferred layout and Layout 3 is my second choice however if you were to go with layout 3 can I suggest you finish off the paths which extend into the border so that it is still continuous. You don't need to make more blocks use your border fabric as the background so it looks like the circles fell into the border.

I like layout 3 and then layout 2. I try to avoid symetrical patterns. I find they're not quite as dynamic.
