What I CAN show you, however, is the fantastic quilt Penny sent me for the Springtime Swap. She is an amazingly talented lady, having hand painted the ginko leaves and other fabric. It is a beautiful piece and I am a very lucky woman! It is wonderful corresponding with someone on the other side of the world.
I can also show you the fabrics I started cutting up tonight for Rob's 21st quilt.
I am making him "Summer Palace" by Leesa Chandler. Rob's favourite colours are red and black (Go Bombers!) We've added some gold fabrics as well. I'm hoping by getting it organised now, I can have it completed for his birthday in December. I'll keep you posted.

Like the look of Summer Palace and your colors look great.
Love your blog background.
I must get adventurous and change my format one day.
Change the pictures but have not really been brave enough to change the format.
But yours is refreshing.
oh I do agree that swapping with those on the other side of the world is a wonderful experience.
Your Summer Palace is going to be super. I love the fabrics and the pattern really will show them off.
Thanks for sharing
Just checked out the design on Leesa's web and must say I am very jealous of your son. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
so I don't get a peek? How cruel?
I love the fabric selection for your son's quilt. This sould be a very dynamic piece of work.
Your little change purses are adoreable.
Cheers from the northern hemisphere. We are having a cool summer so far. Looking forward to some heat.
